The Special Contribution Award of this year's Magnolia Drama Awards was awarded to the famous performing artist Lu Ruiying for her outstanding contribution to the cause of Chinese drama art.
A total of 40 actors have won the nomination awards, including 20 for the Leading Role Award, 10 for the Supporting Actor Award, 5 for the Newcomer Leading Actor Award, and 5 for the Newcomer Supporting Actor Award. On the evening of April 26, the 32nd Shanghai Magnolia Theater and Performing Arts Awards Gala will be held at Shanghai Cultural Plaza, where the list of awards will be announced.

Among them, there are 20 Shanghai repertoires, 60 repertoires from other provinces and cities, and 3 foreign repertoires. These repertoires include 54 opera repertoires, 23 drama repertoires, and 6 music and dance repertoires, involving Peking Opera, Kun Opera, Yue Opera, Sichuan Opera, Ping Opera, Cantonese Opera, Jin Opera, Xi Opera, Huai Opera, Shanghai Opera, Flower Drum Opera, Qu Opera, There are 13 opera types of Fujian opera and 4 drama art categories: drama, musical, dance drama and children's drama.
Among the 152 participating actors this year, 68 are competing for the Protagonist Award, 44 are competing for the Supporting Actor Award, 25 are competing for the Newcomer Protagonist Award, and 15 are competing for the Newcomer Supporting Actor Award.
Among the actors participating in the competition, 34 are actors from the Shanghai Theater Troupe, 110 are actors from non-Shanghai Theater Troupe, and 8 are foreign actors. The 152 participating actors come from 15 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shanxi, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Guangdong, Henan, Hunan, Hubei, Fujian, Sichuan, Guizhou, Tibet Autonomous Region, and Taiwan, China. , in addition to foreign actors from the UK and Russia.

Yue Opera performing artist Lu Ruiying won the Special Contribution Award
The 32nd Shanghai Magnolia Theater and Performing Arts Awards awarded the "Special Contribution Award" to Lu Ruiying, the master of Yue Opera and the "founder of Lu (Ruiying) School of Art".
Lu Ruiying, the artistic founder of the "Lü School" of Yue Opera, a national first-class actor, a representative inheritor of national intangible cultural heritage projects, former director of the Shanghai Yue Opera Theater and vice chairman of the Shanghai Dramatists Association. Born in Shanghai on February 4, 1932, he entered science and technology in 1940 and became a Gonghuadan. In 1951, he joined the Yue Opera Experimental Troupe of the East China Opera Research Institute. He played the role of Yin Xin in "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" at the First National Opera Observation and Performance Conference and won the third prize for actor. Later, he participated in the filming of the first domestic color film "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" and the Shaoxing opera film "A Dream of Red Mansions". Representative repertoires include "Striking the Golden Bough", "The Romance of the West Chamber", "Three Looks at the Royal Sister", "Mu Guiying Takes the Command", "Golden Mountain War Drum", "Nine-Pin Girl", "Letting the Son in the Second Hall", etc. In 1978, he joined the male and female ensemble, and his representative repertoire includes "Eleventh Man", "Peach and Plum Plum", "The Desolate Moon in the Liao Palace", "The Gentleman in the Flower", etc. He has a broad acting career, specializing in Hua Dan, as well as Hua Shan, Qing Yi, and Dao Ma Dan.The sound is sweet and the range is wide. On the basis of absorbing the euphemistic, elegant, delicate and timeless style of Yuan (Xuefen) school, it adds lively, delicate, high-spirited and bright melody color, making it unique and self-contained.

After the awards show, a series of award-winning actors will perform plays.
The theme of this awards show is "Blooming Magnolia·Blooming a New Era" and is scheduled to be held on the evening of April 26 at the Shanghai Cultural Plaza. The awards event is divided into two parts: an off-site red carpet ceremony and an on-site awards ceremony. By then, a 120-meter long red carpet from Fuxing Middle Road to the entrance of the Cultural Square Theater will welcome artists from all over the country and overseas.
After the 32nd Magnolia Drama Awards Ceremony, the Magnolia Drama Awards will organize representatives of award-winning actors to go deep into the grassroots. On April 27, they will go to the Daling Bay Cultural and Art Center in Minhang District to hold a grassroots literary and artistic volunteer performance to benefit the people.
