As the only Chinese TV series shortlisted for the main competition unit of the 7th Cannes TV Drama Festival in 2024, "My Altay" had its international premiere in Cannes, France on April 7, local time. Many of the main creators, including director Teng Congcong, appeared in Cannes to support the TV series' global debut. Among them, Yu Shi, who was the leading actor for the first time on the Cannes stage, made a surprise appearance with long hair.
