Nandu previously reported that on April 4, the Qingming Festival Ceremony for Xuanyuan Huangdi was held at the Qiaoshan Sacrifice Square in Huangling County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. Nandu reporters noticed that Taiwanese compatriots from all walks of life, including Ma Ying-jeou, Yu Muming, and Huang Zhixian, participated in this event. At the public memorial ceremony, all the participants stood in awe, and after beating the drums and ringing the bells, "Ode to the Yellow Emperor" resounded throughout the audience. Afterwards, Ma Ying-jeou, Yu Muming, Huang Zhixian and others presented flower baskets and bowed three times to the Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor statue.
Huang Zhixian, a Taiwanese media person who participated in the public memorial event, said, "The whole ceremony was very exciting and touching. I kept crying because I think this is the pride of the Chinese people. As I said at the 2019 Straits Forum, Our generation must take Taiwan home!"
