In order to further cultivate and strengthen the new and main force of grassroots theoretical propaganda and enhance the attraction and influence of theoretical propaganda, on March 13, the 2024 Jiading District "Hundred Names" Selection Competition and the First New Era Civilized Practice National Publicity Competition were held in South China. There are 12 presentation themes in this competition, among which the theme of "Writing a New Chapter in the Construction of Jiading's Modern New City" is the most popular. The contestants either work or live in Jiading and have personal experience in Jiading's urban construction and development. Gao Kang, who once served as the principal of Shanghai Public Industrial School, introduced the story of his own student, Wang Wenqiang, the "Shanghai Craftsman" in 2023, and explained Jiading's emphasis on high-skilled talents and the functional positioning of Jiading's modern new urban construction in a simple and easy-to-understand way. The theoretical hot word "new quality productivity" was explained, and the audience listened very attentively.
Also as a popular theme in the competition, "excellent traditional culture" has gained diverse vitality in the presentations of different contestants. From the myth and legend of "Chang'e Flying to the Moon" to the "Tiangong Classroom" of Chinese astronauts, from the "Hanfu trend" to the intangible cultural heritage experience of Nanxiang Xiaolong, Zhang Niu leads everyone by telling the stories of "inheritance" one by one. "Have you noticed that the English translation of dragon in this year's Spring Festival Gala has changed from 'dragon' to the transliteration of 'loong'?" Zhao Qianrao from Deyuan Community in Nanxiang Town started with the English translation of Chinese dragon and discussed the importance of cultural confidence. The meaning is explained.
The Nanxiang Town Chaxi Singing Hui propaganda team combined theoretical lectures with poetry recitation and musical instrument performance to present an audio-visual feast of excellent traditional culture to the audience.
After fierce competition, a total of 4 "Theoretical Light Awards", 6 "Theoretical Style Awards" and 8 "Theoretical Rising Star Awards" were selected on site.
