Today is February 29, 2024, a very special day for everyone. It only occurs once every four years and seems to give us an "extra" day. For me, this day is even more special because I finally had a real "birthday" again.
Yes, 24 years ago today, on February 29, 2000, I was born. My mother told me that my little life was actually hard-won. That year, my due date was originally in April, but I was born more than a month prematurely. I looked so thin that I was put into an incubator without even getting on the scale. I stayed there for almost two months before being discharged from the hospital!
Maybe it’s because I was born prematurely, and my parents were worried that I wasn’t strong enough, so they raised me very carefully since childhood. On the other hand, because my life was hard-earned, my parents felt that I should be well-educated, so they were very strict with my education both in study and life.
Some people may ask, if you were born on February 29th by accident, how do you usually celebrate your birthday? In fact, I have been troubled before, but my parents said: "What a special day! You chose this day to be born, which means it is your lucky day." They are not entangled at all. Birthdays come once every four years according to the Gregorian calendar, so we If I celebrate a special birthday, I will celebrate the rest of the year according to the lunar calendar, so that I will not be "absent" on every birthday.
In the blink of an eye, I am 24 years old. In September last year, after working, I went back to school and started graduate school. I hope to improve myself while I am young.
