The Jingβan District Peopleβs Procuratorate launched a public prosecution against the criminal suspect Wang Moumou and others in this fraud case. In the case, the defendant first added friends of the potential victim to follow online, and then used words to gain the other party's trust. After investigation, from May 2022 to June 2023, Wang Moumou successively recruited the defendants Gao Moumou, Cai Moumou, Li Moumou, Chen Moumou, Lin Moumou, Lin Moumou, Chen Moumou and others Serve as a salesperson and commit fraud. All salesmen were instructed by Wang Moumou to publish videos or audios of fake stars or celebrities such as "Jin Dong" on Douyin and Kuaishou short video platforms to attract middle-aged and elderly women, defrauding their trust, and then using the fake celebrities or celebrities as mentioned above. Celebrity identities and victims engage in online chatting and online dating on the WeChat platform, inducing the victim to establish an emotional connection with the "celebrity". Finally, they ask for money for various reasons such as investment, charity, support, online shopping, love, etc., and defraud the victims through WeChat transfers and other methods. The money of multiple victims totaled more than 310,000 yuan.
In this case, the prosecutor of the Jing'an District People's Procuratorate learned that until the incident, one of the victims, Aunt Zhang, had always denied being defrauded. Aunt Zhang in the case lived alone, and the fake "Jin Dong" took advantage of the situation to fill Aunt Zhang's emotional void.
