As a college teacher, I deeply feel the preciousness and uniqueness of Nanyin, a traditional music. This combination of tradition and local characteristics makes Nanyin a shining pearl in Chinese culture. . Colleges and universities are important places for cultural inheritance and innovation. When you go to Quanzhou, you must listen to Nanyin. The pipa is crisp and agile, the flute is soft and graceful, the second string is passionate and soulful, and the third string is bright and melodious. Together with the graceful, ethereal and polished singing, enjoying a Nanyin performance is like experiencing a musical journey that delights the senses and cleanses the soul.

Originated in the Jin and Tang Dynasties, Nanyin has thousands of years of cultural heritage and heritage. It is one of the oldest existing music types in China and is known as the "living fossil" of Chinese national music. Its temperament, tune, score, instrument and other aspects are well preserved. It contains important historical information about ancient music since the Tang and Song Dynasties, and has very important artistic and academic value. It is not only widely loved by Chinese people, but also warmly welcomed in Southeast Asian countries such as the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia. The Quanzhou government and people, experts, scholars and Nanyin enthusiasts at home and abroad have always been committed to the research, protection, inheritance and exchange of Nanyin. Enter the campus, go abroad, go to the world, plant the seeds of inheriting Nanyin in the hearts of children, and sing into the homesickness of overseas travelers.

With the joint efforts of several generations, today's Nanyin not only retains the original flavor of "Tang style and Song Dynasty", but also follows the pace of the times and incorporates new elements and themes. From changing the original music score of "Yi Gong Liu Si Yi" that was difficult to understand and learn to a five-line notation and upgrading it to a digital intelligent music score; to the Nanyin "Birds Returning to the Nest" incorporating elements such as Liyuan Opera on the stage of the 2023 Spring Festival Gala The stage has been well received, and Nanyin's innovation and development are obvious to all. The sea sings to the world.

The complex strings and urgent pipes, the sound of silk and bamboo, the lingering sound, the sound stops the moving clouds. Nanyin, which has spanned thousands of years, has described the unique charm of Chinese national music with its rich cultural heritage. This "treasure" that combines thousands of years of literary and artistic heritage has shined with a different kind of brilliance in the inheritance of the new era. A milestone in world music has been written with great color. (Commentator of China Youth Network)

Nanyin has very good growing soil in our local area. Quanzhou attaches great importance to the cultivation and inheritance of Nanyin. Since the 1990s, Nanyin competitions for primary and secondary school students have been held every summer vacation. It has been held for more than 20 years now. We have also brought Nanyin to primary and secondary school classes in Quanzhou, and many primary schools in Quanzhou have offered Nanyin courses. I grew up in a Nanyin family. Both my parents worked in the Quanzhou Nanyin Music Ensemble. I followed my parents to work since I was a child. I listened to their rehearsals and followed them to performances. Under the influence of this environment, I naturally formed a bond with Nanyin. Not only was I one of the earliest young contestants, I also taught at Quanzhou Peiyuan Middle School until now. Nanyin has become a special teaching activity in Pei Yan Middle School. There are Nanyin singing classes and Nanyin instrumental classes every week. Several teachers in our group teach together, and a Nanyin famous teacher studio has also been opened. After entering teaching, I realized that I should not only perform Nanyin for everyone to see, but also learn how to teach it to students so that they can continue to pass on the Nanyin inheritance.Nanyin has also continued to innovate in recent years. Because today's audiences are more pursuing visual and auditory enjoyment, we have innovatively added new elements such as physical performances and more musical instruments. Nanyin's "Birds Returning to their Nest", which appeared on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, is combined with pop music and brings Nanyin's traditional four treasures of percussion to audiences across the country. In the days to come, we also hope to bring Nanyin to every corner of the world through exchanges and performances around the world, so that more people can know, understand and appreciate Nanyin.
