Hunan Daily · New Hunan Client January 26th (Correspondent Ji Yanhua Xiaowu) In order to promote the development of chorus in Hunan Province and improve the level of chorus in our province, the 2023 Hunan Province Chorus General Exhibition of "Singing the New Era and Praising the New Journey" was held recently. Held at Changsha Hunan Concert Hall.
This event is hosted by the Hunan Provincial Chorus Association and co-organized by Xuetian Salt Industry Group Co., Ltd. It is the chorus performance event with the widest participation, the largest number of participating teams and the number of participants in our province.
Since September 2023, 14 special performances have been held in 14 cities and prefectures across the province, with more than 200 participating choirs and more than 12,000 participants. After layers of selection, 45 outstanding teams stood out to participate in the general exhibition. The
chorus performance is divided into 3 performances and 5 groups in the morning, afternoon and evening. 45 choirs competed on the stage, singing nearly a hundred choral works of different styles. The choir's singing styles are unique and exciting, and their singing works are rich and colorful, which is dizzying. There are not only classic and timeless artistic works, but also healthy, uplifting, youthful and fashionable modern pop works. Both the performance form and singing ability show a high level of choral art.

was comprehensively evaluated by an expert review group composed of Zhou Xianghui, Li Xiaoyang, Deng Dongyuan, Zhu Yongbei, Xiao Ming, Fu Liaoyuan, and Yan Baolin and a public review group composed of heads of 14 city and state chorus organizations, following the principles of fairness and impartiality. A total of 24 gold medals, 21 silver medals, 28 city and state best popularity awards, 5 best popularity awards for overall performances, and an outstanding conductor award were selected for the children's vocal group, middle school student group, college student group, adult group, and senior citizen group. 10 people, 12 excellent accompanist awards; and organization awards were awarded to 14 cities and states. At this point, the Hunan Provincial Chorus Exhibition, which lasted for three months, has come to a perfect conclusion.
Professor Zhou Yuefeng, the person in charge of this choral performance, the famous conductor and chairman of the Hunan Provincial Choral Association, said that this event has received strong support and cooperation from the city and state musician associations, choral associations, cultural centers and colleges and universities across the province. Choirs from all over the country responded positively, and their participation, artistry, and influence exceeded the expected results, reflecting the highest level of chorus in Hunan Province. The Hunan Provincial Chorus Association will adhere to the attitude of not forgetting its original aspirations and continue to make greater efforts to promote the development of Hunan's chorus career with the support of all sectors of society.
