On January 5, the Guangdong Provincial Fire and Rescue Corps organized a practical underground rail transit fire-fighting and rescue drill at the Shenzhen Shenyun Depot. Four underground rail fire-fighting and rescue formations, 36 combat units, and 260 commanders and fighters from Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Foshan, and Dongguan fire rescue detachments participated in the drill.
Drill simulated Shenzhen Metro Line 8 Shenyun depot on the first floor of the station hall. During the process of checking a man, the subway staff suspected that there was an unknown combustible substance in the man's suitcase. The man ignited the unknown combustible substance, causing a ignition. The surrounding passengers' luggage and combustible materials on the platform were burned, causing a large amount of toxic smoke to be generated in the platform hall. The fire spread rapidly. Hundreds of people fled in a panic, and the crowds and stampedes caused the Shenyun subway station to stop operating. Passengers panicked to escape, and a stampede occurred with mass deaths and injuries. ACCIDENT. The drill adopts a model that integrates "double-blind confrontation, task guidance, testing and research, and independent evaluation" and is organized and implemented in four stages: "joint fire prevention and control, command and deduction, actual combat drill, and review and discussion."
After the exercise, the general headquarters organized commanders at all levels to hold review seminars to sort out and summarize all aspects of the exercise. As a national underground rail transit combat formation pilot unit, the Shenzhen Fire Rescue Detachment made a summary report on the use of tactics, formation operations, and professional team building. Underground rail transit is the top priority in the transportation construction of large and super-large cities in the future. It is a highly populated place and is an important link in fire safety that cannot be ignored.
