walked into Xiu709 Media Park (Phase II) and saw only 6 buildings that are naturally integrated into the garden landscape. Almost every building can open its windows to see the greenery, forming a garden-style office building. In the garden, different types of seasonal plants add layers to the entire garden and bring beautiful scenery.
It is understood that Xiu 709 Media Park (Phase II) was formerly known as Shanghai Relay Co., Ltd. The remaining factory buildings include 2 four-story workshops and 4 single- or two-story supporting buildings, with a construction area of more than 7,000 square meters. In 2022, Shanghai Electric Group Real Estate Co., Ltd. started the update of this area. The renovation of the
park closely follows the two keywords of "reshape" and "preservation", which not only reshapes the original architectural style, but also retains the historical features of the land. In particular, the original large camphor and metasequoia forests have been kept intact. Preserved to create a lush green forest world.
Through the transformation of design and materials, this renovation enriches the layers of the building space, gives the six individual buildings different personalities, and forms an urban building cluster; the park is carefully built around the concept of ecological green, and the "green content" of the area has been greatly increased.
The single-story commercial buildings along the street are undulating like waves, spreading out one after another along Yonghe Road, full of rhythm; the original factory building on the side retains the floor height and concrete beams of industrial buildings inside, and the overall shape is like an "opened gift box"; Among the greenery, several beautiful architectural sketches are gradually lined up. The origami-shaped irregular roofs have far-reaching eaves and are raised to the four sides, organically integrating the interior with the landscape.
As Shanghai Electric Group Real Estate Co., Ltd.’s active test of the smart zero-carbon park, the overall park design and creation process follows the low-carbon concept, implants a “green core” into the park, and creates green and low-carbon scenes, such as the one located in the hinterland of the park. The open garden focuses on small but beautiful ecological rain gardens. Rainwater is buffered and accumulated through the plank road, and is purified by plants and sand before seeping into the soil, thereby conserving groundwater. Two photovoltaic carports in the
park will also be put into operation soon, which will provide lighting for the area and carports. Charging piles, energy storage cabinets and other supporting facilities will charge electric vehicles and electric bicycles to achieve the integration of light, storage and charging. In addition, a large number of transom windows in the original factory building have been retained, and a series of integrated ventilation and lighting optimizations have been implemented to reduce building energy consumption.
In the future, Xiu 709 Media Park (Phase II) will rely on the agglomeration advantages of Xiu 709 Media Park and Daning’s surrounding industries to provide space carriers for more emerging industries.
