On December 27, the 2024 Jiangxia District New Year and the 24th "Hundred Flowers Award" awards and performance were held grandly at the Wuhan Jiangxia Gymnasium. Six original works including "Poetry in Jiangxia" won the "Hundred Flowers Award" for the first time.
Jiangxia District Amateur Literary and Art Creation Program "Hundred Flowers Award" Competition, since its inception in 1986, has grown into a brand event with Jiangxia characteristics and is known as "a cultural festival for the masses and an art event for the people." Over the past 37 years, the competition has witnessed Jiangxia's transformation from a traditional agricultural county to a strong industrial district in Hubei Province, and among the top 100 districts in China. In each competition, people from all walks of life in Jiangxia District actively participate in the competition, making full use of songs, dances, folk arts, sketches, recitations, technology performances, creative performances and other literary and artistic forms to create new works of the Acura Era. In the ancient Chu culture and The collision of modern civilizations creates new sparks, lighting up the cultural charm of Jiangxia.
In the 24th competition in 2023, nearly 400 programs and more than 3,000 contestants signed up to participate. Original works accounted for 67%, and both the number of participants and the number of works set new records. A group of nationally renowned artists and cultural scholars have gathered in the competition to serve as judges, significantly improving the literary and artistic standards of this competition. A batch of original works have novel and unique arrangements, closely follow the pulse of the times, express the aspirations of the people, and vividly demonstrate the innovative vitality and high-spirited style of the "Five Jiangxia". On the night of
27, the Jiangxia Gymnasium was packed with seats. More than 1,600 spectators representing representatives from all walks of life in Jiangxia District appreciated some of the outstanding award-winning works of this competition and ushered in the new year in a strong artistic atmosphere. "Li Bai" poetry culture, the quintessence of Peking Opera culture, the thousand-year-old ancient county culture and other humanistic characteristics originating from Jiangxia were displayed on the stage one by one, reflecting Jiangxia District's determination to attach importance to the inheritance of classic culture, and fully demonstrating the cultural confidence of Jiangxia people.
