Chuangwang intends to set up a joint venture company in Zhejiang to invest in microdisplay module components
Chuangwang Optoelectronics, an intellectual property authorization and service factory, announced on April 3 that it will set up a joint venture company in Zhejiang Province to invest in the production and sales of microdisplay module components.
Chuangwang said that it has signed relevant project investment agreements with the Management Committee of Taizhou Bay Circular Economy Industrial Cluster Zone (High-tech Zone, Green Heart) and Taizhou Financial Investment Group, and the contract will come into effect on April 3.
According to the content of the agreement, the three parties will jointly set up a company in Zhejiang Province to invest in the production and sales of microdisplay module components, with a total investment of RMB 1 billion.
Taizhou Financial Investment Group will invest 40%, and the remaining funds will be jointly raised by the three parties. Chuang Wang pointed out that the company will invest in cash or assets of equivalent value through the company in the third place. If it invests in assets, the shareholding ratio depends on professional valuation Depends on the result of the appraisal by the institution, it will be invested in installments.
Chuangwang said that it mainly hopes to speed up the construction of factories and achieve mass production, so as to expand the scale of operation. There are restrictive clauses in the agreement. Chuangwang pointed out that during the construction period of the joint venture company, projects with the same technology and similar products shall not be carried out in other regions of mainland China; under the same conditions for future expansion and upstream and downstream industrial chain projects, Taizhou should be preferentially selected .
Good news about the project signed by Chuangwang Chuan. This year's operation is expected to help
Chuangwang Optoelectronics (6724) independently developed uNEED technology has passed the technical verification stage, and officially launched the mass production plan.
uNEED (Ultra high pixel density for Near Eye Display) is an ultra-high pixel density RGB AMOLED near-eye display technology independently developed by Chuangwang. Compared with the current AMOLED for mobile phones, it has made a major breakthrough in pixel density. At present, most micro-display modules use white light OLED technology. Chuangwang’s breakthrough in RGB OLED can significantly reduce power consumption, improve display brightness, color saturation and contrast, and is ideal for AR/VR smart glasses and other devices that require extremely high pixels. Ideal for near-eye display applications.
Chuangwang said that after the mass production of this project, it will not only be applied in the field of consumer electronics, but also cooperate with special industries such as medical care, education, and aerospace to achieve breakthroughs in cutting-edge fields.
Chuangwang’s operating income includes joint research and development fees, commissioned design fees, and royalties after mass production. Services, patent licensing, joint development, joint ventures and other flexible ways form cooperative relationships with partners to realize the commercialization of revenue and technology.
Chuangwang said that the company's core technology UHPD (Ultra High Pixel Density) can not only be applied in the display field, but also has broad application prospects in the IoT sensing field. The sensing technology developed based on UHPD can realize large-area sensing, improve safety and cost performance. This project is about to enter the mass production stage. After entering mass production in the future, it will further drive the company's operational growth.
About Chuangwang
He used to stay at AUO and Tongbao. In 2012, he went to China to assist the Shanghai Municipal Government to invest in Hehui Optoelectronics. Zhu Ketai, the former general manager of Tongbao who produced the first AMOLED panel in China, quietly returned to China in early 2016. Established "Chuangwang Optoelectronics" in Taiwan.
This time, Zhu Ketai will no longer build a factory. He hopes to use the knowledge accumulated in the AMOLED industry in the past to start in the field of flexible (Flexible) panels, and calls on the upstream, midstream, and downstream of Taiwan's panel industry to form an A Team platform to fight together for Taiwan. The industry has found a way to survive and seize the business opportunities of flexible electronic applications as high as NT$4 trillion.
The prototype of the bendable AMOLED panel developed by Chuangwang Optoelectronics can not only be folded in half, but also be folded outward and inward at the same time. Currently, the radius of the bending area reaches 2mm, and it will be developed in the direction of complete folding.
Zhu Ketai said that he joined the LCD industry when it was just starting. After experiencing the prosperity of Taiwan’s LCD industry, the LCD industry is now declining in terms of output value, regardless of the size of large, medium and small, especially the rise of AMOLED. , Japan and South Korea have invested heavily, and the adoption of downstream brand factories such as Apple has madeThe future of the LCD industry is full of crises. Is
going to invest in Rigid (rigid) AMOLED factories with China and Samsung now? Zhu Ketai believes that Taiwan's resources are limited, and "an egg hits a rock" and cannot be beaten at all. There is no need to be a follower, but "eggs can breed chickens", so there must be a different way of fighting to change this situation. In order to pursue the knowledge economy, change the thinking of winner-take-all and fight alone, and turn to win-win cooperation and group fights.
Zhu Ketai said that Taiwan did not lose so badly in the AMOLED field. Although South Korea is leading the way, South Korea’s closed system is its biggest advantage and disadvantage; Japan has no mass production experience in the AMOLED field, but it has excellent upstream materials. Taiwan If we can combine the power of domestic manufacturers and Japan's advantages to really fight in groups, South Korea will not be able to win against us; as for China, although the government resources are abundant, they are quite scattered, and China relies on harvesting other people's technologies. You harvest", let China become a customer, "always walk behind me".
