Yu Daiqin was born in 1931. She loved recitation and drama performance when she was young. In 1957, she was admitted to the China Youth Art Theater and participated in more than 50 plays. Among them, Li Shuangshuang, created with Zhang Ruifang and , is also known as "North and South Li Shuangshuang". "Li Shuangshuang" won the Outstanding Drama Performance Award in 1964; the drama "The Merchant of Venice" won the first prize in the National Arts Festival... Now, Yu Daiqin is in Yan Da Nursing Center enjoys her old age in peace, still insists on her love, exerts her residual heat, and accompanies her with recitations and drama performances.
The University for the Elderly founded by Yanda Nursing Center has a total of 47 courses including the Department of Vocal Music, Department of Dance Art, Department of Instrumental Music, and Department of Handicraft. Yu Daiqin was attracted by the poetry recitation class in her first year of living in the Yanda Nursing Center. After participating in the half-semester recitation class, she became the teacher of the new poetry recitation class with her years of stage experience and superb professional skills.

When the performance props and costumes were lacking, Yu Daiqin either borrowed them from the crew or made them by himself, just to let the students better present their works; in the July 1 art show held by the Nursing Center on June 30 this year , she directed "One Hundred Years of Storms and Rainbows"; on July 19, she directed the fable "The Eyes of a Dog and Cow"; in the Qing August 1st Art Show, she directed "You Are the Hero"...
