The case will be heard in the People's Court of Xuyong County, Sichuan Province on August 31. On January 24, 2019, Tan Songyun’s agent published a document revealing that Tan’s mother suffered a serious car accident on New Year’s Eve and passed away after treatment. Subsequently, the police reported that the driver Ma had been drinking before he escaped and was arrested on January 16, 2019 on suspicion of a traffic accident.
