According to Deadline reports, "Mission Impossible 7" was originally planned to be filmed in Venice for 3 consecutive weeks starting this week, but now it can only be suspended. It is not clear whether this matter will affect the filming of the film in Rome in March.

Paramount also issued a statement with an excerpt as follows:

"Due to consideration of the safety and health of actors and staff, and support for the suspension of public gathering activities by the Venice government in response to the coronavirus threat, we decided to change Venice’s three-week filming plan... During this period, we fully understand the staff’s concerns and allow them to go home until the production restarts. We will continue to wait and see the situation and work together with the government officials to respond to changes in the situation.”

As for the film The protagonist Tom Cruise. Earlier, Tabloid reported that Tom was trapped in a hotel after filming stopped, but Deadline said that Tom had not yet gone to Italy.

"Mission Impossible 7" is scheduled to be released on July 23, 2021, and "Mission Impossible 8" is scheduled to be released on August 5, 2022.
