He stopped breathing on the second floor of his home in Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province. It is inferred from this that Shirley died within a few hours before and after midnight on the evening of October 13.
Previously, on October 16, the National Institute of Scientific Research conducted an autopsy on Shirley's body and conveyed to the police an oral opinion (the result of the first autopsy) that "no external force or external pressure was found to be suspected of homicide".
