「萬聖節」竟然不是Halloween？
提到萬聖節，我們都會說「Halloween」，但你知道么，說了這麼多年，錯了！小編很負責任地告訴大家，「萬聖節」可不是「Halloween」：
首先我們要知道，萬聖節是每年的11月1日，是西方的傳統節日。
而10月31日正是這個節日最熱鬧的時刻，家家戶戶都會打扮一番參加狂歡派對。

(a contraction of All Hallows' Evening), also known as Allhalloween, All Hallows' Eve, or All Saints' Eve, is a celebration observed in a number of countrieson 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day.

從上面的解釋中可以得知Halloween只是All Hallows' Day（萬聖節）的eve（前夜）!
所以準確來說，Halloween應該譯成「萬聖夜」而非「萬聖節」。因此，Halloween其實是指萬聖節前夕，也就是10月31號晚。
（原來萬聖節和聖誕節一樣，都有「前夜」，就像我們的新年也有除夕之夜一樣）
搞清楚了萬聖夜和萬聖節，該說一下Halloween的發音了。
很多人把它讀成hello win，這是不對的，它的發音應該是：[ˌhæləˈwin]
hallow作動詞的意思是「使...神聖/把...奉為神聖」，而All Hallows' Day中hallow加了s說明它也可以作名詞，表示「聖徒」。
萬聖節來誕生及來歷

Bad omens are also part of Halloween celebrations. A bad omen is something that is believed to bring bad luck, like black cats, spiders or bats.

萬聖節怎麼玩？

1、 Wear Costumes 萬聖節裝扮
一到萬聖節，必不可少的就是萬聖節裝扮。人們會舉著南瓜燈，穿上稀奇古怪的鬼裝，裝扮成各種恐怖樣子參加萬聖節派對。
2、Trick or Treat 不給糖就搗蛋
小朋友們會被打扮成萌噠噠的小怪物挨家去要糖，只要敲門喊上一句「Trick or treat!(不給糖就搗蛋!)」，就能得到各式的美味糖果。
如果大人們摳門不給的話，這些小淘氣們可是會做惡作劇的哦，各位大朋友們記得準備好糖果~
3、Play Pinata 皮納塔遊戲
皮納塔是裝著糖果等小禮物的小包裹。外國小朋友很喜歡這個遊戲，其玩法非常簡單：將皮納塔懸掛或者站立在地上，小朋友們拿棍子輪流砸皮納塔，搶裡面的糖果和禮物，這一切代表了好運氣。
4、Scary Movies 恐怖電影
暗黑恐怖是萬聖節的主題，人們喜歡在萬聖節的時候約上自己好友一起看看電影感受下刺激的氣氛。
