The vast China, the homeland of all peoples, and the invasion of alien races have broken the simple life of working at sunrise and resting at sunset... Recently, as a 2023 annual funding project of the National Arts Fund, the cross-border fusion stage play "The Great Earth" created and staged by the Beijing Acrobatic Troupe "Performed at Wansheng Theater. Professional actors from the Beijing Acrobatic Troupe used superb acrobatic performances, combined with choreography of modern dance, opera and other art forms, to present to the audience a moving legend of the descendants of the Yan and Huang Dynasties resisting foreign invasion and protecting the earth.

"The Earth" presents a thrilling and exciting feast of acrobatic stunts, including straw hat performances, live donkey racing, hoop drilling, large and small martial arts, double skills, ring rolling, silk hanging and other acrobatic stunts. The actors performed superbly with their superb skills. Acrobatic performances vividly convey rich stage emotions and plot ups and downs. The play tells a tortuous story. The alien invasion broke the peaceful life of the Chinese nation. The Chinese descendants fought bravely to protect their homeland, launching a heroic and fearless battle intertwined with blood and tears.

In addition to the fascinating plot, the stage design of "The Earth" is exquisite, eye-catching and magnificent. The red light and shadow curtain vividly shows the intense and exciting war scenes; the snow is flying all over the sky. Flowers bring the audience an immersive journey through the four seasons; the small balls thrown by the actors visualize the festive harvest scene, and at the same time greatly enhance the interaction and fun with the audience; the small flowers in front of the stage decorate the stage. The image of the earth is concretely presented on the stage.

As an innovative fusion stage play, "The Earth" is not limited to acrobatic expressions. It specifically incorporates elements of modern dance to convey fiery emotions in a lyrical way. At the same time, the play also adopts virtual action performances commonly used on the Chinese opera stage, and vividly displays touching dramatic situations through freehand expression.

As the inheritance and protection unit of Beijing's intangible cultural heritage project "Tianqiao Acrobatics", the Beijing Acrobatic Troupe continues the origin of modern acrobatics in New China - the context of Tianqiao Acrobatics. The troupe grasps the characteristics of the new era and the "changes" of practical needs. "Unchangeable" should be "unchanged" with "keeping upright", and "changed" with "innovation", inheriting and reconstructing the artistic characteristics of "difficulty, wonder, perfection and beauty" of flyover acrobatics. In addition to new acrobatic IP plays on creation myths such as "The Earth", the Beijing Acrobatic Troupe has also carefully created Beijing-style cultural IP plays and IP plays adapted from classic texts.
