"Dancer of the Century" Vladimir Malakhov joins hands with "Queen of Ballet" Diana Vishneva, as well as principal dancers from nine domestic ballet companies and teachers and students of the ballet department of Beijing Dance Academy to create an enduring Classic ballet and avant-garde modern ballet join forces to present a dazzling "ballet night" to the audience. This performance is not only the key piece of the "2024 Beijing Dance Academy Performance Season", but also the finale of the second Tianqiao Dance Performance Season.
"This is a special collaboration between Diana and me," Malakhov said. As international ballet masters, Malakhov and Diana left many classic moments on the ballet stage. After many years, the two met on the same stage again, putting an exclamation point on their years of cooperation with "The Old Man and Me". This one-act play is a poignant portrait of the fragility of human relationships and explores life's emotions such as disappointment, love, joy, happiness and forgiveness. The two constantly explore people's inner worlds, and their emotional expressions are as harmonious and profound as a duet, revealing a gentle melancholic beauty and bringing a unique aesthetic experience to the audience.
Principal dancer of Beijing Contemporary Ballet, Chongqing Ballet, Guangzhou Ballet Theatre, Harbin Ballet, Liaoning Ballet, Shanghai Ballet, Suzhou Ballet, Tianjin Song and Dance Theater Ballet, Hong Kong Ballet and Beijing Dance Academy Outstanding students from the ballet department performed on the same stage with extraordinary skills, bringing the pinnacle of art and skills to the stage.
