Li Haiyu said that his father failed to pursue the murderer during his lifetime and ended up with hatred. "I wanted my father to see Yi Mouhua brought to justice with my own eyes. The indictment from the Zhanjiang People's Procuratorate shows that the defendant Ren Yi Mouhua was born on November 9, 1971, with primary school education and unemployment. He was criminally detained on March 22, 2023 for this case, arrested on April 4 of the same year, and placed under residential surveillance at a designated residence on November 4 of the same year; 2024 On February 4, 2016, he was approved for prosecution. On February 6, 2016, the Leizhou City People's Procuratorate decided to arrest him and he was executed on the same day.

The Zhanjiang Municipal People’s Procuratorate reviewed and found out in accordance with the law: On the morning of December 22, 1992, Yi Mouhua and Li Mouxiang, the father of the victim Li Mouping (died 9 years old), went to Egan Village, Beihe Town, Leizhou City due to a wage dispute. Li Mouxiang failed to ask for wages, and the two sides quarreled. After being dissuaded by others, Yi Mouhua left. In the afternoon of the same day, Yi Mouhua went to the primary school where the victim Li Mouping studied, and on the pretext that Li Mouping needed to go home to visit his sick mother, Yi Mouhua The victim Li Mouping was taken away from the school. Subsequently, Yi Mouhua took the victim Li Mouping to a sugar cane garden in the pond in front of Maichekan Village, stabbed Li Mouping in the left chest and other parts of the body with a knife, causing his death and then absconded. Later, Yi Mouhua was captured and brought to justice by the public security organs.

The Zhanjiang Municipal People's Procuratorate believes that Yi Mouhua ignored national laws and deliberately deprived others of their lives, causing the death of one person. His behavior violated the provisions of Article 232 of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China. The criminal facts are clear and the evidence is reliable. Sufficient, he should be held criminally responsible for intentional homicide. According to the provisions of Article 176 of the "Criminal Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China", if a public prosecution is initiated, the person shall be sentenced in accordance with the law.
