Shi Banyu, formerly known as Shi Renmao, nicknamed Grouper, began to engage in dubbing work in 1983. He is also famous for dubbing Stephen Chow in movies, and is therefore known and loved by the majority of movie fans.
Shi Banyu's representative dubbing works include "The Gambler", "Jidao Academy", "Young and Dangerous", etc. He dubbed Stephen Chow for the first time in the movie "The Gambler" in 1990. Stephen Chow's nonsensical acting skills matched Shi Banyu's exaggerated voice, thus becoming Stephen Chow's royal voice. Shi Banyu created Xingye's signature laugh. Starting from "The Gambler", he has acted in about 20 Stephen Chow classic movies.
