On September 15, the "Beautiful Youth·Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts Chinese Painting Major 2000-2020 Postgraduate Works Invitational Exhibition" opened at the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum. According to reports, a total of 2000-2020 Postgraduate Works Invitational Exhibition from the Chinese Painting Major of Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts were invited to this time. 22 master’s degree students and particularly outstanding undergraduate representatives who graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute between 2000 and 2020. They brought more than 140 works each created in recent years. Through these works, we can not only see the fruitful results of the training of Chinese painting professionals at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, but also the development context of professional education and teaching; at the same time, they also well demonstrate the unique style and new look of the new generation of artists.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Jiao Xingtao, dean of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, delivered a speech, saying that the Chinese painting major of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute has been established for more than 80 years and has cultivated a large number of high-quality, comprehensive and innovative Chinese painting art talents.

"Since the 20th century, the creative context of Chinese art has undergone earth-shaking changes, and there has been a deeper exploration and integration of the language, form and media of art." Jiao Xingtao said that in this context, the post-80s, Young artists born in the 1990s began to explore the interaction between tradition and modernity, language and materials, life and art with a broad vision, and began to practice. This also brings together the fine works of art displayed in this exhibition.
Jiao Xingtao said that the outstanding alumni who participated in this exhibition still persisted in artistic creation and innovation after leaving school. At the same time, they did not forget their original aspirations, adhered to the tradition of the college, and developed a unique artistic style on this basis.

Hang Chunxiao, deputy director of the Institute of Fine Arts of the Chinese Academy of Arts and president of "Art Observation" magazine, is the academic host of this exhibition. He said that many works in this exhibition cleverly combine multiple artistic languages such as oil painting and printmaking with Chinese painting techniques, breaking the stylized constraints of traditional Chinese painting teaching. "This interdisciplinary integration not only provides students with a freer space for artistic creation, but also allows them to draw inspiration from the collision of multiculturalism to create more personalized and in-depth works of art."

According to Zhang Liang, the representative of participating artists, this exhibition is a concentrated display of the teaching achievements of Chinese painting in Sichuan America. We hope to draw more inspiration and strength from everyone's feedback.
