It is understood that the Guiyang Symphony Orchestra was established in September 2009. To this day, the orchestra has invited countless outstanding performers and singers from all over the country and even the world. The orchestra consists of more than 70 outstanding young musicians from many countries and regions. Previous directors include Li Xincao, Chen Zuohuang, and Rico Saccani. Starting from the ninth music season, the famous conductor Zhang Guoyong has served as the orchestra’s music director. Liu Yunzhi serves as the honorary leader and honorary concertmaster of the orchestra.
