Steps into the long history of Lingnan. Time passes to 1757, when Emperor Qianlong issued an imperial edict of "one port for trade", which allowed Guangzhou to monopolize China's maritime trade for nearly a century. Under this unique background of the times, the artworks produced in Guangdong are not only sold overseas, but each work vividly demonstrates the charm of traditional Chinese culture and the local aesthetic taste of Guangdong, while also cleverly integrating the exotic western style. The style has formed a unique artistic style.
This "Image of Lingnan" exhibition is inspired by a precious export oil painting in the museum's collection. Celebrate elegance together; on the traditional Chinese Valentine's Day, read the Book of Songs and long for the purest and most beautiful emotions; travel around the world by riding the wind and waves with the export wallpaper of the Qianlong farming and trade map of the Qing Dynasty; and finally, under the bright light and shadow of tonight's "Lingnan Image" , the long-dusted past of Guangzhou Shisanhang slowly unfolds, like a delicately painted historical picture. The once prosperous commercial port scene not only outlines vivid trade scenes, but also conveys It reflected the spirit of openness, tolerance and tolerance of all rivers in that era.
