4 dead and 2 injured in fire at factory in Taiwan Fire response: The cause of the fire is still under investigation

On December 30, a reporter from Nandu learned from the Fire Department of Taichung City, Taiwan that a fire broke out in a factory warehouse in Fengyuan District, Taichung City on the evening of the 29th, resulting in 4 deaths and 2 injuries. According to the preliminary research and judgment of the fire department, the cause of the fire cannot be ruled out. On the 30th, a staff member of Taichung City Fire Department told Nandu reporters that the specific cause of the fire is still under investigation, and the injured are still being treated in the hospital.

According to the Taichung City Fire Department, at about 19:36 on December 29, a fire broke out in a factory on Dongzhou Road, Fengyuan District, Taichung City. After investigation, Yasuda Co., Ltd. rented this factory building as a warehouse. The 9 employees in the company will come here to clean up the factory building in the next few days. On the evening of the 29th, 9 people were applying non-slip paint on the second floor. Halfway through the construction, a fire broke out suddenly, and 5 people escaped from the fire scene first. When the firefighters arrived at the scene, the four people trapped by the fire had no signs of life. After being sent to the hospital for rescue, all four people were declared dead, and two other injured people were sent to the hospital for rescue.

On December 30, a staff member of the Taichung City Fire Department told Nandu reporters that the cause of the fire is still under investigation and the injured are still being treated in the hospital. It is reported that the Taichung City Urban Development Department sent personnel to on the morning of the 30th to investigate . After investigation, the fire was found to be an illegal building. After the cause of the fire is identified, it will be demolished in accordance with regulations.
