"Don't forget your original intention First of all, remember history." This is what Li Xiaoyan often said. At the beginning of 2015, the historical exhibition hall of the center was rebuilt and expanded. Li Xiaoyan became the only female comrade in the preparatory office. Together with a group of gay men, they worked from dawn to dusk, day and night, from various units of the center to many places across the country, and visited more than 200 seniors. More than 800 pieces of cultural relics were collected. Among them, the GM car used by General Sun Jixian, the ignition end cap of the 1059 missile, the second-class merit certificate of Tian Xiankun, the operator of the combination of two bombs, and the short-circuit plug of the Dongfanghong-1 satellite, and many other cultural relics are of great historical significance.
According to Li Xiaoyan’s recollection, in the process of preparing for the construction of the historical exhibition hall, they collected several large boxes of old photos. She and her colleagues browsed, picked out one by one, and extracted meaningful and story-telling photos for display. Use: There are hundreds of historical films in the early stage of the construction of the site, stacked up like a hill, they watched it repeatedly frame by frame, selected suitable shots for exhibition, and strived to present the glorious history of the center to the audience in the best way , I often come down for several hours, dizzy, and can’t tell whether it is day or night outside... At that time, Li Xiaoyan’s child was still young. In order not to delay the work progress, she waited for the child to sleep before going to work every night, and did not return until the early morning. At home, I still arrived on time the next day and started a new day of work. Since she took charge of the work of the exhibition hall in 2019, she has not had a complete weekend or holiday, and the more holidays, the busier she is. When there is an important reception, working overtime at noon and night has become commonplace. When doing research on some topics, I often work overtime alone in the library until midnight. The night of Dongfeng Aerospace City is quiet and deep, which also gives her infinite space for thinking, allowing her to ride the wind and waves in the career she loves. Li Xiaoyan was born in Shandong, Shaanxi. With the boldness of Shandong people, the word "female man" can't be more suitable to describe her. In such a huge exhibition hall, there are all kinds of sound and light equipment, and she handles the daily maintenance and general troubleshooting by herself. The large display screen in the central experience hall is more than ten meters high. There was a sudden problem with the display module, and an important reception was arranged that day. It was too late to contact the professional maintenance personnel. She climbed from the shelf behind without saying a word Going up, relying on the accumulated knowledge of my engineering girl, after careful inspection, I finally found the cause of the fault, and the fault was eliminated after replacing the module. And it's not just this time. In the exhibition hall, she went to the roof to check the waterproofing on a rainy day, and also went through the sewer inspection due to drainage blockage... The "curator's mother" who is both strict and "protective"
In the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center History Exhibition Hall, there is a team of 20 commentators. , Li Xiaoyan affectionately called them "little sister-in-law". When I first started working in the exhibition hall in early 2019, there were only two guides in the hall, which was far from meeting the reception needs. So Li Xiaoyan actively fought for 20 public welfare positions, and selected lecturers from the family members of the center's scientific and technological personnel.
In order to make the explanation more professional, she took advantage of her familiarity with history to train the lecturers on historical knowledge and explanation content. In order to improve the overall quality of the lecturers, she also coordinated with relevant professionals to provide systematic training to the lecturers in Mandarin, reception etiquette, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and electricity safety. Today, the training of lecturers has tended to be systematic and regularized, and the reception level of the exhibition hall has also been greatly improved.
In the beginning, the "little sister-in-laws" did not agree with Li Xiaoyan's strict requirements and management. Some even thought that they were just amateur lecturers and not professional, so there was no need to be so strict, and it was almost enough. Li Xiaoyan was unmoved at all, she is an extremely rigorous and conscientious person, which is also the trait of an astronaut. She believes that the aerospace industry should not be sloppy, and the telling of aerospace stories should also be professional and rigorous. Based on the content of the exhibition and according to the requirements of the reception, she wrote more than a dozen versions of explanatory materials with hundreds of thousands of words, and the longest version was 37,000 words long! She personally guides, digs out the details word by word, and requires the explainer to be proficient in all versions of the explanation content. What the lecturer was asked to do, she did it herself first, and she knew all the explanations in multiple versions by heart. So far, she has received a number of important leaders at all levels, and has received unanimous praise.
One sows one harvest. Thanks to Li Xiaoyan's unremitting efforts, the explainers' ability to explain and receive has been continuously improved, and they have also told the story of aerospace to the whole country. In 2019, Li Xiaoyan personally wrote an article and led a commentator to participate in the National Red Story Explainer Contest, and was named the National Excellent Volunteer Explainer with the 16th place. The Central History Exhibition Hall was also selected by the Central Propaganda Department and Cultural Tourism The department jointly commended it as an outstanding activity unit in the 2nd Red Story Explainer Contest.
Slowly, the "little sister-in-laws" have a different understanding of the position of explainer. And in the depths of her heart, admiration and respect for Li Xiaoyan also arose spontaneously, and at the same time, there was also a trust and dependence, because Li Xiaoyan expressed her respect and maintenance for these commentators with practical actions.
Once, a visitor came to visit the museum and took pictures without authorization according to the regulations, and was stopped by a guide. The audience was very displeased, and his words showed disrespect for the commentator who was a family member. When Li Xiaoyan learned that her "little sister-in-law" had been wronged at work, she was very angry and distressed. She immediately found the audience's unit and asked the unit leader to bring the person involved to apologize to the explainer, which made all the "little sister-in-laws" very sad Moving. After the reconstruction and expansion of the exhibition hall was completed in 2016, Li Xiaoyan returned to her original unit to continue her career of "chasing stars and arrows". In 2019, the person in charge of the exhibition hall resigned. Considering her familiarity with the work of the exhibition hall, Li Xiaoyan was asked again whether she would like to take on the job of the person in charge of the exhibition hall at the same time.

In order to dig out the historical stories behind the cultural relics and make these stories widely known and spread, Li Xiaoyan set the topic and participated in interviews with 259 donors of historical relics and witnesses of historical events in a targeted manner. With 3 million words, he participated in the writing and production of documentaries "Two Bombs Combined with Wind and Cloud Records", "Building Dreams in Space", "Forging a Sword for the Country", etc., which were successively broadcast on CCTV International Channel and Military Channel, attracting widespread attention. Among them, "Two Bombs Combining Wind and Cloud Records" has successively won many national awards such as the 23rd China Documentary Annual Collection, the 12th "China Documentary International Film Selection Conference" and other historical documents. At the same time, Li Xiaoyan compiled the stories of cultural relics and compiled them into "Dongfeng Stories Collection", which became the direct teaching materials for patriotism education. She also created poetry recitations, " two bombs and one star " group songs, and participated in research projects. , Tell stories about spaceflight and spread space culture. In 2018, during the construction of the Digital History Museum, she participated in the digitization of cultural relics. She provided text descriptions and audio storytelling for the cultural relics after 3D modeling. While doing a good job in the collection and protection of cultural relics, Li Xiaoyan focused on the promotion and inheritance of the aerospace spirit represented by many cultural relics. In recent years, she has organized the selection and training of 83 middle school student volunteer commentators, allowing the aerospace children to tell aerospace stories and inherit the aerospace spirit. At the same time, she has also provided guidance on the excellent traditional aerospace education for news backbones and new recruits many times. He has successively held more than 10 activities such as exchanges, science popularization, and live broadcasts with CCTV, CCTV network , Beijing TV station , and WeChat platforms in the aerospace field, newspapers and other media.
