Chen Sanqing: a flute legend. At the age of eleven, he started to learn flute with his father. At the age of thirteen in 1978, he succeeded his father as the chief flute of the Soldier Song and Dance Ensemble of the Guangzhou Military Region and started his self-study. In 1985, he won the final qualification of the Second National Long Competition in Beijing and was valued by Professor Zhu Tongde of the Central Conservatory of Music.
