Apple announced on Monday that it will extend the warranty period for customers buying AppleCare+, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and other hardware products. According to a Bloomberg report, Apple said that consumers are currently purchasing a warranty support program for 60 days after purchasing Apple products. In the United States and Canada, the purchase warranty can be increased to one year.
In the past, Apple gave a 60-day warranty from the date of purchase by the customer. If AppleCare is purchased, the warranty period will be extended from 60 days to one year; however, Apple said that this offer is applicable to the full purchase of AppleCare+ or installment payments using Apple Card Customers who use other payment methods do not have this discount.
For users who want to purchase AppleCare, iPhone or other hardware products still need to be in normal use and not damaged. AppleCare+ for iPhone can include compensation for accidental damage and theft up to two times every 24 months.
Apple CEO Cook (Tim Cook) said that the epidemic has curbed people's demand for AppleCare, and users now need to have Apple store employees inspect the device to ensure that the device is not damaged before purchasing the plan. Users can also learn more about AppleCare+ on Apple's official website.
