According to Taiwan’s "Zhongshi Electronic News", Xu Xiangkun, the former chairman of Taiwan Waterworks Company, was involved in multiple corruption cases. He was sentenced to 8 years in prison in 2017 but did not serve his sentence at the end of November. They even participated in high-profile activities. Xu Xiangkun is a member of the Miaoli Mansion. He joined the DPP in 2004 and was appointed chairman of the Taiwan Water Company in 2005. From September 2005 to September 2007, he served as the chairman of the Water Supply Company. He accepted 5 million yuan in bribes from Jintang Company. In 2017, he was sentenced to 8 years in prison. He was wanted by the Taichung District Procuratorate in March last year for failing to appear. Unexpectedly, he evaded criminal responsibility.
