02 Study hard and become a butterfly
pilot enrollment is strict. To be selected, you must pass physical, intellectual and psychological tests. Yang Jing, who likes to wear high heels and skirts, began physical training, running, climbing, fitness, and also tried diving, paragliding and other extreme sports to challenge her ability to withstand. In September 2015, Yang Jing was admitted to the aviation school as she wished, and she started the day of intensive study and training with male students. Run 5 kilometers every morning, the fixed wheel rotates 30 times per minute; live rolling, hanging ladders; forward rotation, reverse rotation... the same standards for men and women. In two years, she trained with all the trainees, no one lags behind.
However, the process of learning to fly was not all smooth sailing. Yang Jing, who scored in the top ten in theoretical examinations, encountered the biggest difficulty-practical training. When flying with the trainer for the first time, she found that the slope of the plane she operated was always different from expected. The flight movements were so ridiculous, Yang Jing began to doubt herself when she saw that her practical performance was not as good as other classmates. "Am I really not suitable for this job?" After thinking about it for 5 days, recalling the determination that she wanted to be a pilot, Yang Jing finally persevered. It was also in the process that she learned not to be chaotic and to deal with problems. Not surprised!
In August 2017, Yang Jing entered the airline and started a series of company training studies, including theoretical initial, simulator initial, attendant training, emergency training, on-site training, attendance inspection, etc. After a full year of probation, in September 2018, Yang Jing finally became a flight co-pilot. The captain gave her a very high evaluation: "Her work ability is not inferior to that of male pilots, and sometimes is more careful than male pilots in flight procedures. "
