In order to confuse the enemy, he was called 800 people to the outside world, and was therefore respected as the "eight hundred strong men" by later generations. Han Xianyuan was born in 1906 in Shuibei Village, Maihao, Wenchang City, Hainan Province. He is a graduate of the third phase of Huangpu Military Academy and the first phase of higher education at the Central Military Academy. At that time, he was the captain of the 524th Regiment of the Eighty-eighth Division of the Army. During the Anti-Japanese War, he was ordered to participate in the Songhu War of Resistance and the Defense of Nanjing. The Battle of Songhu broke out in 1937, and Han Xianyuan led the 524th Regiment of the 88th Division to defend Zhabei. The reporter from "Shen Bao" interviewed and made a report on "Interview with Head of Han Dynasty". Han Xianyuan had his own inscription: "Existence of Anti-Japanese War".

At the end of October 1937, Xie Jinyuan's ministry was guarding the Four Lines Warehouse, and Han Xianyuan was ordered to retreat to Nanjing and stationed in Yuhuatai. This pair of robes, who had lived and died together, have been parted in Shanghai, and this parting is a farewell!
"Eight Hundred Warriors" are a lone army. They know that the Four Lines Warehouse will be their graves for more than 400 people, but they still swear to coexist and die with their positions; Nanjing City is at stake, the invaders are almost crazy, Han Xianyuan and the 54th Regiment and others The officers and soldiers regard Yuhuatai as a place to kill themselves and become benevolent, and they will not hesitate to go to the country. On December 10, 1937, the Japanese invaded Nanjing. Someone once persuaded Han Xianyuan: "Nanjing is at stake, we should retreat quickly." Han Xianyuan severely reprimanded: "Are you willing to be slaves to the country? I swear to live and die with the position."
On December 12, 1937, Han Xianyuan and the officers and soldiers stationed in Yuhuatai almost all died heroically. Han Xianyuan was only 32 years old. "I just turned one year old when my father died." Han Weiguang told reporters. Later, his mother took him to the grandfather's house in Saigon. Five years after his father sacrificed his life, his mother died of depression because she missed her deceased husband day and night.
Han Weiguang was born two years after his mother joined the army in Nanjing. At that time, the whole army was happy, and jointly built a small golden lock as a gift. When Han Weiguang was 3 years old, he recognized the words "Win glory for the country" embroidered by his mother on his pocket. The mother said that the name "for the light" means "to win glory for the country".

Because of the early death of his parents and the turmoil of his early life, Han Weiguang only knew his father’s experience after he joined the army and died in the country after he was 25 years old. He knew nothing about other details. He really began to fully follow his father Han Xianyuan’s footsteps. In 1967, he went to Vietnam to visit his grandfather's family. When his uncle introduced him to his friends at the banquet, he was the son of the leader of the "Eight Hundred Warriors", and he felt that his father's experience was extraordinary. 83-year-old Han Weiguang still remembers a song about the War of Resistance against Japan. Although he does not remember the whole song, he can still sing the opening sentence "China will not die".
After Han Xianyuan's death, Han Weiguang went to Vietnam with his mother. The picture shows Han Weiguang (the smallest person in the picture) with his relatives and friends. Picture provided by the interviewee
Han Weiguang immigrated to the U.S. as an adult and is currently working as a fellow in Northern California and HainanSecretary-General of the Township Association. Accompanied by his relatives and friends, he once made a special trip to Shanghai to visit the site of the Sixing Warehouse Defense War, and was full of emotions.
