Moving! BTS Jimin won the education championship and donated 100 million to poor students

Jimin of

BTS (BTS) once again proved that he is the champion of education, donating 100 million won ($85,000) to impoverished school students in Jeollanam-do, South Korea, which moved the outside world very much!

On July 29, Jimin's father Park Hyun Soo quietly donated 100 million won to the Jeollanam-do Education Office on behalf of his son. Today, the Education Office decided to make good deeds public.

According to reports, this donation will be used for scholarships, which may help disadvantaged students in the region go to good schools. With the COVID-19 pandemic still affecting the Korean economy, donations like Jimin’s will be more useful than ever.

Chonnam Future Education Foundation Manager Zhang Shuoxiong told the press that this donation will be used seriously to convey Jimin’s good influence to 220,000 students in Jeollanam-do.

This donation will bring another honor to this BTS star. South Jeollanam-do Education Office revealed that they also plan to add Jimin to the South Jeollanam-do Education Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of education in the region.

Of course, this is not Jimin's first donation to education development. Just a few months ago, in February, it was reported that Jimin had donated new desks and chairs to all 1,200 students of his alma mater, Busan Higher Art School. After paying the uniform fee for all fresh graduates of his former elementary school in 2018, he also donated 100 million won to the Busan City Department of Education.

Jimin won the championship in education in his hometown of Busan. However, this is his first donation to students in Jeollanam-do, which makes it more meaningful. Therefore, Korean social media has been talking about donations. After the announcement, the "Scholarship Fund" ranked second on Twitter in South Korea, and "BTS멤버지민" (BTS member Jimin) reached the top 20 trends.

At the same time, netizens on the South Korean forum commented how "" Jimin keeps and quietly donates to education. What do you think about this?
