According to the Weihai police report, on November 8, the Weihai Public Security Bureau received a report from a financial officer of a food factory in its jurisdiction that he was defrauded of more than 3.5 million yuan in cash on the Internet in the name of impersonating his boss. After receiving the police, the sub-bureau immediately drew out its capable forces to form a task force.
After investigation, on November 7, the criminals pretended to be the owner of the food factory and added the QQ of the financial officer on QQ, and then issued orders to him in the name of the boss on QQ, and asked the financial officer to contact the financial officer in the name of the business that needs to sign a contract. Another suspect made contact and organized a group to commit fraud. The caller has remitted a total of more than 3.5 million yuan to the suspect’s account five times.
With the strong support of the relevant departments of the Weihai Public Security Bureau, the investigating policemen were divided into multiple troops and rushed to Huizhou, Guangdong and Nanning, Guangxi. The policemen overcame the difficulties of complex investigation areas, large floating populations, and many rental houses. The location of the suspect’s crime was traced out in a residential building. At this time the suspect had already fled. The
police followed the line again and rushed to Binyang, Guangxi. Finally, the four main suspects were located in three different locations in Binyang City. In the early morning of November 26, the investigating police saw that the time was ripe and the three nets were collected. They arrested all four major criminal suspects in one fell swoop and recovered more than 1 million yuan in fraud.
Weihai police lasted 25 days and fought in Huizhou, Guangxi, Nanning, Guangxi, and Binyang, Guangxi, with a total travel distance of more than 5,400 kilometers.
