When you apply for the Taiwan Pass, it will be accompanied by an endorsement. You can enter and exit Taiwan once with a valid endorsement. The full name of the entry permit is the “entry and exit permit for Taiwan of the Republic of China”, which is equivalent to a visa. Due to the special relationship between the two sides of the strait, this permit needs to be handled by a qualified travel agency. Travel agencies such as CYTS and Ctrip can handle it. The entry permit issued by Fish Travel can enter and exit Taiwan once with a valid entry permit. The longest stay in Taiwan is 16 days and 15 nights. Because I don’t want to drag a heavy bicycle back and forth, I chose to rent a bicycle around the island in Giant. The roundabout bicycles provided by Giant are station wagons with lockable front shock absorbers, front and rear waterproof saddle bags, ergonomic grips, and stopwatches. The bikes are in very good condition and of high quality. On more than 1,000 kilometers of road around the island, the car had no other problems except for the computer sensor.
The cost of renting a bicycle around the island is $1200 for the first three days and $200 for each day after that. I rented it for 11 days and the total is $1200+(11-3)*$200 = $2800, which is converted into RMB 580.
To rent a round-the-island bike, you need to make an appointment in advance. You can find a round-the-island bike rental shop on Giant's website and call to make an appointment. I started calling the Giant Taipei Nanjing store, and I replied that the appointment was full, and then I called the Taipei Xinzhuang store to make an appointment.
