A group of bandits kidnapped the wife (played by Candice Bergen) of the local farmer Brandt Ruger (played by Gene Hackman). As the richest man in the area, Brandt Ruger couldn't bear this humiliation, so he asked a few friends to help and launched revenge.
However, there are many criminals, all of whom are professional gunmen, and Brandt's several friends are businessmen. The businessman confronts the gunman, and he is still outnumbered. If he fights hard, he will be dead.
