Duan Yihong, whose real name is Duan Long, was born on May 16, 1973 in Yining, Yili, Xinjiang. He is an actor from Mainland China and graduated from the Performance Department of the Central Academy of Drama.
In 1998, Duan Yihong entered the National Theater of China. In 2003, he won the Best Actor Award at the New Delhi International Film Festival for his movie "Second Brother". In 2006, he became famous for his role as Yuan Lang in the TV series "Soldiers Assault". In 2011, he won the Golden Phoenix Award of the 13th China Film Performing Arts Society for his movie "West Wind". On January 19, 2015, he participated in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala of the Year of the Goat and sang the song "The Good Children and Grandchildren of China"; on June 21, he won the Best Actor Award at the 18th Shanghai International Film Festival for his movie "The Scorching Sun". On June 26, 2016, Duan Yihong won the Best Actor Award at the 4th China-British Film Festival. In 2016, he participated in the movie "Memory Master".
