Zhang Zixi (formerly known as Zhang Qian), a young actor at the Beijing Peking Opera Company, winner of the gold medal at the first Youth Beijing Conference, and the third generation descendant of the Cheng School, studied under the tutelage of Li Wenmin, a disciple of Zhao Rongchen and a Peking Opera educator. Her appearance is dignified and beautiful, her stage style is stable and generous, her voice is clear and sweet, and her singing is delicate and melodious. Her performance is both traditional and innovative. She is a bright new artistic star on the Peking Opera stage.
