The 37th Popular Film Hundred Flowers Awards will kick off in Chengdu on the evening of the 2nd, and the major awards will be announced on the evening of the 4th.
The theme of this year's Hundred Flowers Awards is "Flowers bloom in the official city, and hundreds of flowers bloom in Chengdu." The series of activities include six main contents: the opening ceremony, the nomination ceremony for the nominees, the award ceremony, the forum, the Hundred Flowers Film Festival, and the grassroots film workers.
This year's Hundred Flowers Awards has a total of 9 awards, namely: Best Film, Outstanding Film, Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Good newcomer.
Among them, " Thousand Miles Homeward ", " Chang'an Thirty Thousand Miles ", " Volunteer Army: Heroes Attack ", " Conferred Gods Part 1: Chao Ge Fengyun " and " Article 20 " won the best film. Award nominations; Wang Baoqiang , Wu Ershan, Zhang Yimou, Jia Ling , and Dong Runnian will compete for Best Director.
As an important supporting event of the Hundred Flowers Award, the Baihua Film Festival is currently being held in Chengdu. The Baihua Film Festival brings many excellent film works to the public through two ways: city theaters and open-air public welfare screenings, and specially presents the " Swordsman " series Jin Yong Classic martial arts films, 4K classic restoration films such as "rougebutton", "halflife", as well as new Hong Kong and Taiwan films "Sally" and "Narrow Dust", which were screened in the mainland for the first time.
The Popular Film Hundred Flowers Award was founded in 1962. Together with the China Film Golden Rooster Award and the China Film Huabiao Award, it is also known as the three major Chinese film awards. It is the oldest and most influential film award in the Chinese film industry.
