In each sonorous and powerful line, on the evening of July 23 , a large-scale original stage play "Asking Porcelain" with the theme of celadon from Huangyan Shabu, Taizhou, Zhejiang, kicked off its premiere at the Huangyan District Cultural and Sports Center Grand Theater.
A history of ceramics, half of which is in Zhejiang. The Shabu Kiln is a major archaeological discovery in Taizhou in recent years. Its discovery broke the traditional understanding that "Taizhou has no porcelain", filled the gap in the development of celadon from Yue kiln to Longquan kiln in the history of Chinese porcelain, and completed the development sequence of Yue kiln celadon. , built a complete system of celadon production in Zhejiang during the Song Dynasty, and became an important puzzle piece in rewriting the history of Chinese ceramics.
"Questioning Porcelain" starts from the local Shabu legend of "Nine Dragons Penetrating the Sky". It tells the story of Yue Ding, a porcelain maker from the Northern Song Dynasty, who went to Shabu to search for porcelain making techniques and Sun Zhenxi, a contemporary celadon archaeological expert who stayed in Shabu for 20 years to search for historical gaps. The main line, the intersection of ancient and modern narratives, allows two people in different time and space to look up at the history of celadon. One is to rekindle the fire, and the other is to find the fire. The millennium inheritance is linked, and the spirit of craftsmanship and unswerving pursuit are linked. The concrete expression also makes this drama an important part of Huangyan's cultural renaissance.

In addition to the plot, the stage design, costumes, lighting and multimedia all incorporate many Shabu celadon elements and are well-produced. Inspired by Shabu celadon, the stage is designed with 9 hanging landscape tiles, and the characteristic patterns of Shabu kiln, Shabu map, Shabu celadon, etc. are used in multimedia projection to present a distinctive stage effect. The scene is constantly changing in the strong contrast between light and shadow, but no space is left. The staggered heights of the hanging scenery and the overall arrangement of the stone pillars add a rich sense of layering to the stage, and add a lot of texture under the changing lights.
