event, experts, reporters, leaders, and creators watched the staged rehearsal results of the play. "Chasing Dreams" consists of three main acts, a prologue and an epilogue. It tells the story of Chen Yuhong, the protagonist of China's high-speed rail locomotive independent research and development project, who leads the railway builders to step by step overcome career and family, cooperation and competition, as well as the technological blockade of other countries. It is a story of many conflicts and difficulties such as siege and interception, and finally successfully found a path belonging to the Chinese railway people. From learning from foreign countries in exchange for technology with the market, to overcoming difficulties and limitations and launching the "Fuxing" independently developed by China, and then continuing to set off towards the distant future... through the growth history of Chinese railway workers, the spirit of model workers and labor spirit are demonstrated. At the seminar, Chen Sisi, the project leader of the musical "Chasing Dreams" mentioned: In recent years, the literary and artistic workers of the ACFTU Art Troupe have continued to delve into the theme of "work", constantly innovated the creation path of thematic staff literary and artistic works, and made a name for themselves with their practical achievements. It is understood that "Chasing Dreams" began to go deep into grassroots creation in 2020, and finally became the first to create works on many themes. In the plan, the theme of China's high-speed rail, a national business card and independent innovation, was selected as the creative direction. At present, after more than two years of script incubation and five major revisions, "Chasing Dreams" has completed the script creation at the end of last year. After several months of creation and rehearsal, it will premiere in Beijing in late May this year, to the 2024 Railway Union Centenary and the 100th anniversary of China's trade unions in 2025.
