On March 20, The Paper (www.thepaper.cn) learned from multiple employees of Hunan Radio, Film and Television Group Co., Ltd. that Gong Zhengwen has now served as Party Secretary and Chairman of Hunan Radio, Film and Television Group Co., Ltd. (Hunan Radio and Television).
Previously, the Organization Department of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee issued an announcement on pre-appointment announcements on February 29. Gong Zhengwen, deputy secretary of the party committee and general manager (director) of Hunan Radio, Film and Television Group Co., Ltd. (Hunan Radio and Television) planned to further use it. According to
public information, Gong Zhengwen was born in July 1966 in Yiyang, Hunan. He once served as the deputy director in charge of news at Hunan Radio and Television Station. In 2016, he was transferred to the editor-in-chief of Hunan Daily. In 2020, he became the director and editor-in-chief of Hunan Radio and Television Station.
According to 2022 information from the China Journalists Association website, Gong Zhengwen graduated from the Chinese Department of Peking University with a bachelor's and master's degrees and has been engaged in journalism for more than ten years. Under his organizational guidance and direct promotion, Hunan Radio and Television and Hunan Daily won more than 50 China News Awards, including 9 first prizes. He himself has won 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, and 3 third prizes of the China Journalism Award, and 20 first prizes of the Hunan Journalism Award.
Hunan Radio and Television was established in 2010, and Hunan Radio, Film and Television Group Co., Ltd. was listed in 2015. In July 2018, it was integrated with Xiaoying Group and Network Control Group to form the new Hunan Radio, Film and Television Group Co., Ltd.
