Live Broadcast, February 17th: After finishing the Asian Cup journey, Tottenham star Son Heung-min returned to the club. After reversing the victory over Brighton, the Korean entered the team roster for the first time this year. In an interview with Tottenham's official website, Son Heung-min talked about Tottenham fans, next goals and other topics.
I would like to say thank you to the Tottenham fans. The game against Brighton was not the best way we wanted to go, but as soon as I came on the pitch I remembered the applause, even in the warm-up, and it was an incredible feeling. You never expect something like this to happen. When you are treated like this, you feel like you are back home, especially in moments like that. I still feel hurt after the Asian Cup. So, the fans really lifted my spirits, which was unbelievable.
It's a huge honor to be treated like this, it's been the hardest week of my life but Tottenham fans have made me happy again. I will never forget moments like this until the day I die.
About the comeback victory over Brighton
Donāt forget, I scored a hat-trick when I came on last season (laughing)! I thought something like this could happen again, but it didn't. Still, it was a good moment for me to come on at 1-1 and the fans were behind us. When I came on the court, the atmosphere went to another level.
I feel like I should take a huge responsibility in winning the game. I want to help the team and that's what I did. I'm happy to see everyone in the Tottenham family again.
On what's to come with Wolves and goals for the season
I'll make sure we make this season special and as long as I'm a Spurs player I'll do my best to make Spurs fans happy and put a smile on their faces , make them proud.
I'm so grateful for the overwhelming support from Tottenham fans and everyone for welcoming me back. See Weekend!
