There is a branch of the Xiangjiang River called Leishui, and there is another river under Leishui called Congshui. Chukou Town is on the bank of the Cengshui River. This place was the residence of Sanmiao in ancient times. When Qin Shihuang developed Lingnan, he recruited 500,000 people to the border between Hunan and Guangdong. At that time, the situation in the north was turbulent. Some of the 500,000 people occupied Chukou, opened roads for farming, and multiplied the population until now.
In the 1990s, the Dongjiang Dam was built, thus forming Dongjiang Lake. The seat of the Chukou Township government was flooded. Later, after the township was transformed into a town, the town government was moved to the current Huluding. He Xueliang, a native of his hometown, suggested building a park on a certain hillside. After the park was built, it was named "Wanghu Park".
Standing in the park and looking at it from a distance, the mountains are undulating, one after another, boundless and endless; the peaks stand majestic and lush. In the morning, the sun rises from the side of the mountains, giving the peaks a layer of golden glow. In the evening, The sunset makes the mountains look extraordinarily beautiful, and they look as imposing as the mythical Miaogu Sheshan Mountain. The ancients said, "Mountains are not high, they are famous if they have immortals." However, the mountains in our hometown of Chukou Town are not only beautiful, but also so high that they seem to be three feet away from the sky. How can a "famous mountain" be compared to the mountains of Chukou? How about describing it completely?
Standing in the park and taking a closer look: the lake stretches along the shore, with no end in sight. When the breeze blows, the clear lake water ripples. It is like an ocean, but there are no rough waves; it is like a river, but there are no rapids. There are boats passing through the lake from time to time. As the boats move forward rapidly, the lake water splashes into layers of snow-white waves, which is so beautiful. Someone went to the lake in the middle of the night and faintly heard a sound coming from the lake, which seemed to be the roar of a dragon hidden in the water. The ancients said, "If the water is not deep, it will be spiritual if there is a dragon." Therefore, the Dongjiang Lake in Chukou can be called a spiritual lake!
Walk into the garden and walk up the steps. At the entrance, there is a statue of Confucius. Confucius saved the world with benevolence and righteousness, and educated people with "rituals and music". There is a "Si'en Pavilion" behind the park. The kindness of parents in raising people, the kindness of teachers in nurturing, and the kindness of governing the country are all great kindnesses. Knowing how to repay kindness is the most important part of "benevolence and righteousness". The statue of Confucius in front of the park echoes the "Sien Pavilion" in the back of the park and is integrated into one.
There is a "Harvest Pavilion" in the park, which is shaped like a granary. Guanzi said: "Only when the warehouse is rich can you know etiquette; when you have enough food and clothing, you can understand honor and disgrace." Therefore, the first thing the rulers of the world take care of is food. When food is abundant, the country will be peaceful; when food is scarce, the country will be in turmoil. So the people who thought of building grain warehouses really had excellent insights.
There is a "sailing boat" device on the left side of the Harvest Pavilion. The bow of the boat faces the lake. The shape is like Zhuangzi's "Sea Transport": the duck turns into a roc, spreads its wings and flies high, flying ninety thousand miles with the whirlwind, and then flies to the south. The driver of the carved "sailing boat" can experience the ambition of riding the wind and waves and flying across the sea.
On the right side of the "Harvest Pavilion", there is a "Gourd Tower" built of reinforced concrete, just like the "Eiffel" built in Paris. A large golden gourd is placed on the top of the tower, symbolizing the place name of "Calabash Top". According to research by Mr. Wen Yiduo, floods in ancient times wiped out all human beings. Fuxi and Nuwa, brothers and sisters, escaped on a gourd and ascended to heaven, where they multiplied the human race. Ever since, Hulu's kindness to society is really great.
"Wanghu" means "Wanghu", and it also means "Wangren". Dongjiang Lake can be said to be a fairyland. Looking up at the heaven and earth, it is so magnificent. The statue of Confucius, Si'en Pavilion, granary and sailing boat in the garden all remind people of the moral cultivation of life. The dragon appears in the field, it is the dragon in the abyss who continues to struggle. Officials should not forget their arduous and long-term responsibilities, and ordinary people should have the courage to shoulder the responsibility for the rise and fall of the motherland. Then, if the officials and the people are united, our country's five thousand years of civilized history will be passed on forever. If the top and bottom are united, our country will be passed down from generation to generation.
